Dear families,
We understand that the closing will be a stressful time, but hope we can provide some consistency for our students. I will be creating lessons that will move us forward with our mathematics concepts. These lessons will be available on my blog's calendar starting Monday 3/16. The lessons will be posted as day 1, day 2, and day 3 (just like the three times per week each student has me for Math). As of right now, there is no definitive answer as to how long schools will be closed, so please work on the work that correlates with your class's days in case.
We understand that not all students have access to technology and internet, so I will try to make non-digital options available when possible. However, anything that is requested to be typed can always be hand-written if need be. And know that I will be available via email each day during my working hours, even from home.
I will continue to reach out as more develops.
Sincerely,
Ms. Walker

Last Week of Digital Learning... May 18th-22nd
Days 1, 2, and 3 --
Task 1 -- Create a Math Meme: create_a_math_meme.docx
Make a Math MEME! 😊
Directions:
Your job is to make a meme that is about your class – {could be about anything we have learned this year, something that I (Ms. Walker) or Ms. Dillard tend to say or do, or something else directly related to what we have done}.
Make sure it is 100% appropriate – no bad language or slang, no bad pictures, etc.
Let’s try to get as many original ideas as possible! So... shhhh don’t share your idea! You can copy and paste images from Google or use a meme generator – whatever you want. I am including a form link for you to submit your memes, but you are welcome to email them to me too! (tinyurl.com/ycue8zvf)
I will then share them next week so everyone can see everyone’s meme! This is not that serious of an assignment obviously, but I am so excited to see what you all come up with!!! 😊
Task 2 -- Work on any missing assignments (or ones that you want to try and improve) 😏
Task 3 -- Keep working! Your Khan accounts will stay live and I am here if you ever forget your username and password, wishing you all all the best as you begin summer break and make your way to 7th grade! Try not to miss us too much, but know that we are
always here for you! :)
